Job summary

Garmin’s U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area seeks a Senior Architectural Engineer to provide advanced facility engineering in a manufacturing setting, overseeing installations, renovations, and maintenance to minimize production delays and align with business objectives.

You will lead facility improvement projects, develop maintenance plans, monitor performance, ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support growth

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5 years as a facilities engineer in manufacturing.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Oracle and MS Office.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, HVAC and plumbing systems.
• Experience in project management including budgeting and scheduling.
• Knowledge of building processes and codes.
• Demonstrated project management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced facility engineering to optimize manufacturing in a lean environment.
• Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-disciplinary engineers to define facility requirements.
• Evaluate contractor proposals for compliance with capacity, cost and scalability.
• Lead facility improvement projects and develop robust maintenance plans.
• Implement network solutions to monitor facility performance data.
• Develop and maintain preventive maintenance programs for manufacturing facilities.
