Leoforce is seeking a Sr. Automation Engineer to lead advanced automation initiatives in Huntington Beach. You will design, program, and validate automated manufacturing equipment and control systems, driving improvements in performance, efficiency, and cost.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Automation/Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
• 10+ years manufacturing engineering with substantial automation and robotics work; injection molding preferred.
• Proven experience leading automation projects from design through deployment.
• Ability to program and troubleshoot PLCs and HMIs, Star Automation and/or Yushin robots, and six-axis robots.
• Experience implementing and programming servo and stepper motor systems.
• Ability to design electrical schematics and control circuits and to wire control panels.
• Working knowledge of pneumatic controls and electro-pneumatic troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with safety, electrical, building, and quality codes; ability to travel; SCADA/database experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, code, commission, and validate automated manufacturing equipment and control systems.
• Program and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, robots, and motion control systems.
• Diagnose complex equipment and control failures to reduce downtime.
• Lead automation projects from scope and design through vendor coordination, procurement, installation, and deployment.
• Design electrical schematics and control circuits; support control panel fabrication and wiring.
• Analyze production workflows and data to improve performance, efficiency, and cost.
• Document systems through technical reports, electrical drawings, and standard operating procedures.
• Provide technical guidance and training while meeting applicable safety and quality standards.
