Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer in Huntington Beach, CA. You will design, develop, and implement automated manufacturing equipment and control systems, leading projects from design to deployment on-site.

The role requires 10+ years in automation and robotics, strong PLC/HMI expertise, and hands-on experience with AutoCAD/ SolidWorks. Travel to multiple facilities in the USA is expected; you will contribute to safety, quality, and efficiency improvements across the organization.

Qualifications

• BS degree in mechanical/manufacturing/automation or equivalent
• 10+ years manufacturing automation/robotics experience
• Ability to program and troubleshoot PLC controllers and HMI units
• 2D/3D drawing using AutoCAD or SolidWorks
• Knowledge of GD&T and industrial codes (ADA, OSHA, NEC, NFPA, ISO)
• Willingness to travel to multiple facilities in the USA

Responsibilities

• Develops, codes, and commissions automated systems including PLCs and robotics
• Troubleshoots complex issues to minimize downtime
• Manages automation projects from scope to deployment
• Validates protocols and ensures safety and quality compliance
• Analyzes production data to improve efficiency and reduce cost
• Creates electrical documentation and SOPs
• Collaborates with vendors for equipment design, procurement, and installation
• Demonstrates teamwork and strong communication across departments
