Kelly is seeking a Sr. Automation Engineer for a 100% on-site role in Morrisville, NC. The position requires 5–7 years of automation/Mechatronics/engineering experience and offers a contract-to-hire or direct-hire path.

Expect project leadership across capital and process-improvement initiatives in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include automation programming, validation support, and production-system maintenance, with a focus on CGMP and quality compliance.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
Minimum 5-7 years' experience in Automation /Mechatronics/Mechanical/ Project and/or Controls Engineering.
Previous work experience in a sterile manufacturing environment preferred.
Experience with robotics, AI, and machine learning.
Experience with project management.

Responsabilités

Evaluate and implement new ways to automate systems to drive efficiency and compliance.
Test automation equipment and processes (FAT, SAT, commissioning) with engineering and validation.
Program PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems and inspection systems.
Lead multiple capital projects concurrently.
Provide technical leadership and safety/quality improvement initiatives.
