Job summary
Peak Energy Technologies Inc. is seeking an Automation Engineer to establish and lead the automation foundation for a new Sacramento facility. The role combines hands-on PLC/SCADA work, third-party equipment FATs/SATs, and in-house control architecture development.
You will drive uptime, yield, and cycle-time improvements as the program matures. As the first automation engineer, you will shape standards, collaborate with process and equipment engineers, and travel for FATs/SATs at vendor sites,
Qualifications
- Hands-on Beckhoff PLCs, TwinCAT v3, and TwinCAT HMI experience.
- Robot programming and offline simulation capabilities.
- Experience with FATs/SATs for industrial equipment.
Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and maintain PLC programs to optimize production.
- Maintain SCADA and HMI interfaces for clear operator visibility.
- Connect PLC/SCADA with MES for real-time data and traceability.
- Support FATs and SATs with 3rd-party vendors.
- Own commissioning and uptime of in-house equipment over time.
