Job summary

Peak Energy Technologies Inc. in Sacramento is seeking a Test Engineer for ESS testing of energy storage systems. The role involves working with design, simulation, and manufacturing teams to run tests, analyze results, and inform design decisions.

Onboarding begins at our Burlingame headquarters for 3–6 months before relocating to Sacramento. You should have a BS in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering and 1–4+ years in test engineering, with strong data analysis and problem-solving

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace engineering or related field.
• 1–4+ years of experience in test engineering, including internships and student projects.
• Strong understanding of electromechanical engineering first principles.
• Proficiency in data processing and analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead and conduct comprehensive testing of functional, thermal, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Develop test strategies, plans, and procedures to evaluate risks against performance and safety requirements.
• Design and acquire testing equipment and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure design integrity and drive improvements.
• Analyze test data, report findings, and drive system enhancements.
• Identify and resolve intricate technical issues during testing.
• Perform root cause analysis and develop corrective actions.
• Drive innovation in testing methodologies and automation.
• Maintain detailed records and prepare reports for stakeholders.
