Job summary

Datadog is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for its Alerting Platform Automation team to maintain and scale the alerting stack, building automation environments and tooling for fast feedback.

You will collaborate with SRE, Core Infrastructure, and Alerting teams, lead infrastructure projects, and improve CI/CD. You will design solutions to reliability bottlenecks and support AI-assisted development.

This hybrid role values curiosity, autonomy, and strong communication across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Experience in ops and infrastructure automation.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems and propose solutions.
• Strong communication with stakeholders at all levels.
• Comfortable working autonomously across multiple technologies.

Responsibilities

• Build automation systems that create and manage alerting environments and accelerate feedback loops.
• Collaborate with SRE, Core Infrastructure, and Alerting teams to understand needs and deliver solutions.
• Lead infrastructure projects and enhance CI/CD and developer tooling and deployment processes.
• Identify reliability bottlenecks and design improvements including load testing and pre-production validation.
• Improve infrastructure isolation and ensure services scale automatically with load.
