Job summary

Command|Link is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for Command|Alert to shape the alerting platform across rule evaluation, ML signals, and downstream delivery.

You will own end-to-end reliability, drive architecture decisions, and mentor engineers while collaborating across teams to scale the system in a multi-cloud, telemetry-rich environment.

This role emphasizes working with data, security tooling, and network topology into actionable alerts, with opportunities for impact and growth.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, building, or operating high-reliability alerting or notification systems in production.
• Strong Kafka experience for streaming and delivery pipelines.
• Ability to turn telemetry and protocol data into real topology maps and actionable insights.

Responsibilities

• Set architecture for thresholding, ML scores, and correlation to produce high-fidelity alerts.
• Own end-to-end reliability of the alerting pipeline from evaluation to delivery.
• Drive correlation strategies turning diverse sources into network/topology maps for LLm reasoning.
• Lay groundwork for generating alert definitions from normalized data models using LLMs.
• Mentor engineers and influence the organization’s architectural direction.
• Balance strategic bets with long-term foundation for scale.
• Take on additional responsibilities to support team success.
