Alcon in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to lead automation initiatives on the MTO ASPEX Team at our manufacturing facility. You will manage SCADA, PI Historian, and Ignition projects, program PLCs (Allen-Bradley and Siemens), and support MES/ATTP while ensuring CGMP compliance.

You will design and optimize manufacturing layouts, collaborate with production, and drive improvements in throughput, quality, safety, and reliability, mentoring Automation Technicians as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelords degree or equivalent years of directly related experience
2 years of relevant experience
Engineering background in electrical, chemical, mechanical, biomedical, computer science, or software engineering
Hands-on experience with PLCs and CAD design
Project management experience

Responsibilities

Lead automation projects across SCADA, PI Historian, and Ignition.
Program PLCs (Allen Bradley and Siemens) and support MES/ATTP.
Design manufacturing layouts and equipment installations.
Ensure CGMP compliance and safety of automated systems.
Collaborate with production to improve throughput, quality, safety and reliability.
