Job summary

Alcon in Fort Worth, TX is seeking an Automation Engineer II to support the External Projects Team on automation systems including SCADA, PI Historian, and Ignition. You will design, implement, and maintain instrument/electrical automation control systems while applying control theory to develop robust controllers.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and fluent English. Relocation is supported and sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +8 yrs; Assoc.+4 yrs)
• The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English

Responsibilities

• Support SCADA, PI Historian, and Ignition to drive our technology initiatives.
• Handle complex tasks related to the design, development, implementation, operation, and maintenance of instrument/electrical and automation control systems.
• Focus on mathematical modeling of diverse systems, analyzing their dynamic behavior, and using control theory to create controllers.
• Contribute to the development of advanced projects, utilizing growing expertise and problem-solving abilities.
• Adhere to GxP regulations by following SOPs, maintaining documentation, and ensuring quality control.
