Job summary

Atkore is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer based in Harvey, IL. You will support manufacturing, design automation and SCADA systems, and lead improvement projects in a dynamic industrial environment.

The ideal candidate holds a BS in Electrical Engineering with 7–10 years of process/manufacturing engineering experience, strong controls expertise, and proficiency with Rockwell PLC programming and AutoCAD. Lean manufacturing experience is a plus.

Qualifications

BS in Electrical Engineering or related field with hands-on experience in an industrial setting.
7–10 years in Process/Manufacturing Engineering with strong controls experience.
Experience with Rockwell PLC programming and planning power distribution.
Experience with SCADA systems (Wonderware preferred).
Lean manufacturing background is preferred.

Responsibilities

Drive productivity improvements and oversee multiple projects as Project Leader.
Provide documentation, schedules, and bidding details for electrical projects.
Develop automation solutions, SCADA implementations, and process controls.
Lead continuous improvement activities and maintain electrical infrastructure.
Ensure safety codes compliance and mentor E-Techs and electricians.
