Job summary

Stoughton Trailers, LLC in Wisconsin seeks an experienced Automation Maintenance Technician to support production lines and facilities. You will maintain and troubleshoot CNC equipment, robotics, PLCs, and electrical systems to maximize OEE.

You will lead efforts with maintenance, engineering, and operations to implement reliable controls, perform programming changes, calibrations, and safety-compliant installations across the plant.

Qualifications

• 2-year degree in automation, robotics, controls or related engineering discipline.
• 8+ years of automation, robotics, and controls experience.
• NFPA 70E Certification required.
• OSHA Certification preferred.
• Ability to create, modify and troubleshoot PLC and HMI programs.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and prints.
• Willingness to learn Lean concepts.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in automation and controls.

Responsibilities

• Maintain production and facilities equipment by responding to emergencies, routine, and preventive maintenance.
• Collaborate with maintenance, engineering and operations to improve OEE, safety, quality and productivity.
• Develop and modify PLC and HMI programs and electrical drawings as needed.
• Troubleshoot complex automation, robotics, and control systems across the plant.
• Coordinate contractors and ensure work meets safety standards.
• Operate meters and tools; calibrate and align equipment; perform basic repairs.
