Job summary
Stoughton Trailers, LLC is seeking an Industrial Controls Technician I to support maintenance and improvement of automation and control systems within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. If you excel at troubleshooting and want to grow in PLC/HMI programming, this role provides hands-on opportunities to work with CNCs, robotics, PLCs, and control systems.
The position emphasizes safety, reliability, and continuous learning, with a focus on reducing downtime.
Qualifications
- Two-year degree in Automation, Robotics, Controls, Electrical, or related field.
- 1+ year of experience in automation, robotics, or industrial controls.
- NFPA 70E Certification (Required); OSHA Certification preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical prints and schematics.
- Willingness to learn advanced automation, control, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Responsibilities
- Support maintenance and improvement of automation and control systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical and control systems operating from 5 VAC up to 600 VAC.
- Assist with PLC and HMI program creation and modification.
- Coordinate with operations to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
- Maintain and update electrical/controls documentation.
