Job summary
GAF is seeking a Corporate Automation and Controls Engineer IV to provide technical direction for control and automation systems across plants. The role includes troubleshooting, data acquisition, and production network management with a focus on continuous process improvements.
You will lead high-impact projects, mentor controls staff, and ensure adherence to technical standards. This position requires deep engineering expertise, cross-functional influence, and a willingness to travel up to 60%
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
- 5+ years in controls engineering in continuous manufacturing.
- 10+ years in controls engineering preferred.
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Proficient with Rockwell/Studio 5000 suite and Allen-Bradley hardware.
- Experience with production networks and PLCs/instrumentation.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary internal engineering resource for control systems.
- Lead and facilitate strategic projects spanning multiple plants.
- Provide plant support and remote/onsite troubleshooting.
- Mentor plant controls personnel and regional engineers.
- Coordinate with controls group to share standards and information.
