Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Sr. Automation & Controls Engineer for infrastructure and utilities at Starbase, TX. You will design, build, operate, and maintain automation systems for power, HVAC, and fluids supporting Starship operations.

You will lead cross-functional projects, mentor a team, and ensure safety and reliability while scaling systems to production targets. Travel to other SpaceX facilities may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or related engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in automation and control systems designing, analyzing, and implementing projects.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, operate, and maintain automation and SCADA for Starbase utilities.
• Lead cross-functional projects and drive rapid improvements.
• Scale control systems to meet Starship production rate targets.
• Develop and deploy standardized automation for power and utilities.
• Maintain documentation for Starbase SCADA systems.
• Mentor engineers and technicians in automation and controls.
• Plan and execute weekly tasks to meet team objectives.
