Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Senior Automation & Controls Engineer for Infrastructure & Utility (Starship) at Starbase, TX. The role focuses on designing, building, operating, and maintaining critical power, HVAC, and fluids systems to support Starship production and launches.

You will lead projects with cross-functional teams, implement rapid improvements, and ensure safety and reliability by applying NFPA/NEC/UL standards. Occasional travel to other SpaceX facilities is possible.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
5+ years of experience in automation and control systems.
Experience with SCADA and PLC programming is a plus.

Responsibilities

Design, build, operate, and maintain automation and control systems for Starbase infrastructure and utilities.
Lead cross functional projects; drive rapid improvements.
Develop and deploy standardized automation for power and utility systems.
Design and commission PLC, HMI, and SCADA applications in a high reliability production/launch environment.
Create and update documentation from design reviews and requirements.
