Job summary

SpaceX in Texas is seeking a Sr. Automation and Controls Engineer to join the Infrastructure & Utility team supporting Starbase operations.

You will design, implement, and maintain high-reliability automation for power, HVAC, and critical utility systems in a production/launch environment. You'll lead projects, mentor engineers, develop SCADA and PLC solutions, and ensure compliance with NFPA/NEC standards while collaborating across functions to meet aggressive production targets for Starship

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 8+ years in automation and control systems design and deployment.
• PE license or intent to pursue preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, operate, and maintain automation and SCADA for Starbase infrastructure.
• Lead projects and mentor engineers to meet production targets.
• Develop and deploy HMI/PLC solutions with Ignition and other tools.
• Ensure NFPA/NEC/UL 508A compliance for panels and systems.
• Audit processes and optimize safety and efficiency.
