Job summary

Vortex Doors is seeking an Experienced Commercial Door Technician to join our team. With 4+ years in the door industry, you will install, repair, and maintain commercial doors, docks, and related hardware, ensuring safety and quality workmanship.

You will diagnose issues, configure door hardware and access control, and provide clear customer communications while documenting service visits and repairs. AAADM certification is a plus and a valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in the commercial door service industry.
• AAADM certification is a plus.
• Excellent mechanical and technical skills.
• Ability to read a tape measure and perform precise installations.
• Strong safety knowledge and adherence to protocols.
• Able to lift 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair commercial doors and hardware.
• Diagnose door issues including springs, hinges, locks, and electrical components.
• Configure door hardware and access control systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety and building codes.
• Provide excellent customer service and document service visits.
• Maintain records of visits, repairs, and installations.
• Communicate with customers to offer cost-effective solutions.
• Perform quality checks to ensure high standards.
