Vortex Doors in Ohio is seeking an Experienced Commercial Door Technician to join our team. You will install, repair, and maintain commercial and industrial doors, docks, and related hardware, ensuring safety and AAADM/ANSI compliance while delivering quality service at customer sites.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in the door industry, strong mechanical aptitude, ability to read a tape measure, and excellent communication. We offer training, a company vehicle, uniforms, and benefits.

Qualifications

• 4+ years’ experience in the commercial door service industry.
• AAADM certified a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read a tape measure and perform precise measurements.
• Excellent mechanical and technical skills.
• Physically able to lift 50 lbs and climb ladders.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair commercial doors, docks, and hardware.
• Service automatic sliding, swinging, folding, revolving, and low-energy door systems.
• Perform AAADM inspections and safety testing.
• Replace door operators, sensors, and access control components.
• Ensure compliance with AAADM, ANSI standards, and local codes.
• Provide customer service and report on visits.
• Maintain service records and generate reports.
• Diagnose and resolve door-related issues with cost-effective solutions.
