Job summary

Pep Boys in Fayetteville, NC is seeking an experienced Master Technician to diagnose drivability, HVAC, and electrical systems while leading a team to deliver superior customer service.

The role requires 5+ years of automotive repair experience, ASE certifications, and a valid driver’s license. You will mentor teammates, educate customers on repairs, and ensure the shop remains organized and compliant with safety policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years automotive diagnostic/repair experience.
• 8+ ASE certifications (A1–A8) preferred.
• Section 609 Certification required.
• State Inspection license if applicable.
• Valid driver`s license.
• Background check clearance.
• Availability to work days, nights, holidays, and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair brake, hydraulic, exhaust, ignition, electrical, suspension, A/C and computer systems.
• Lead and mentor shop team to improve customer care.
• Explain repairs to customers clearly.
• Stay updated with automotive tech through formal training.
• Assist fellow technicians as needed.
• Keep management informed of repair issues.
• Maintain a clean, organized shop.
• Follow safety and environmental policies.
