Job summary

Pep Boys in Spring, TX is seeking a Master Technician to diagnose drivability, air conditioning and electrical systems, and to lead a team while educating customers on problems and proposed solutions for their vehicle. The role emphasizes customer care and superior service through clear communication.

The position requires 5+ years of automotive diagnostic experience, 8+ ASE certifications preferred, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of automotive mechanical diagnosis, problem-solving and repair experience.
• 8+ ASE certifications (A1–A8) preferred.
• Section 609 Certification required.
• State Inspection license if applicable.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment background check.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications in brakes/hydraulics, exhaust, ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning and computer systems.
• Perform duties of lower technician levels as needed.
• Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to customers or staff.
• Continuously learn new technical information through training sessions.
• Assist fellow technicians in technical activities.
• Keep management informed of repair problems as they occur.
• Maintain an organized and neat shop.
• Adhere to company policies, safety and environmental rules.
