Job summary

Pep Boys is seeking a Master Technician to diagnose drivability, A/C and electrical systems while leading a shop team to deliver exceptional customer service.

You will explain repairs to customers, mentor technicians, and stay current with automotive technology through training. The role requires ASE certifications and a valid driver's license; day, night, weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years automotive diagnostic/repair experience.
• 8+ ASE certifications preferred (A1–A8).
• Section 609 Certification required.
• State Inspection license if applicable.
• Motivated, energetic, customer-focused attitude.
• Valid driver's license and background check clearance.
• Able to work days, nights, holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications across brake, exhaust, ignition, electrical, suspension, air conditioning and computer systems.
• Perform duties of lower technician levels as needed.
• Explain diagnoses and repairs to customers and staff.
• Continue learning through formal training to stay updated with automotive tech.
• Assist fellow technicians and keep management informed of repair issues.
• Maintain a neat, organized shop and adhere to safety rules.
