Job summary

Pep Boys in California seeks a Master Technician with leadership to guide a team and deliver superior service. You will diagnose drivability, ABS, electrical and A/C systems while educating customers on problems and proposed fixes.

This role requires 5+ years of automotive diagnostic experience, ASE certifications (A1–A8) preferred, Section 609 certified, and a valid driver’s license. Flexible schedule and on-site work.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of automotive diagnostic, problem-solving and repair experience.
• 8+ ASE certifications preferred (A1–A8).
• Section 609 Certification required.
• State Inspection license if applicable.
• Valid driver's license and ability to work varied shifts.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications for brakes, exhaust, ignition, electrical, suspension and A/C.
• Explain diagnoses and needed repairs to customers and colleagues.
• Mentor and lead technicians to improve customer care and shop performance.
• Continually learn new automotive technical information through training.
• Maintain an organized shop and comply with safety policies.
