Job summary

Pep Boys is seeking a Master Technician to diagnose drivability, A/C and electrical systems, while leading a team to enhance customer care and satisfaction. You will interact directly with customers to educate them on problems and proposed solutions for their vehicle.

The role requires 5+ years of automotive diagnostic experience, ASE certifications (A1–A8) preferred, and a valid driver’s license. A fast-paced shop environment awaits with opportunities to mentor others.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years of automotive diagnostic, problem-solving and repair experience.
• 8+ ASE certifications (A1–A8) preferred.
• Section 609 Certification required.
• State Inspection license, if applicable.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass background check.
• Availability to work days, nights, holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair brake, hydraulic, exhaust, ignition, electrical, suspension, A/C and computer systems.
• Explain diagnoses and needed repairs to customers in plain language.
• Lead and mentor technicians to improve customer care and satisfaction.
• Keep management informed of repair issues as they occur.
• Maintain a clean, organized shop and adhere to safety rules.
