Job summary

Pep Boys is seeking a Master Technician with extensive automotive expertise to diagnose drivability, air conditioning and electrical systems while leading a shop team to deliver exceptional customer service.

Role requires mentoring teammates, explaining repairs to customers, and staying current with automotive technology while following safety and environmental rules. Availability for varied shifts is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 8+ ASE certifications preferred (A1–A8).
• Section 609 Certification required.
• State Inspection license if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications—brake/hydraulic, exhaust, ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning and computer systems.
• Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to customers and employees as needed.
• Mentor and assist fellow technicians; drive teamwork and shop efficiency.
• Keep management informed of mechanical repair problems as they occur.
