Job summary

Pep Boys in the United States is seeking a Master Technician to diagnose drivability, air conditioning and electrical systems, and to lead a team toward enhanced customer care. You will interact with customers, explain issues and proposed repairs, and guide the shop to deliver superior service.

The role requires 5+ years of automotive diagnostic/repair experience, a High School diploma or GED, and ASE certifications (A1–A8) preferred; Section 609 and state inspection licenses may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years of automotive diagnostic/repair experience.
• 8+ ASE certifications preferred (A1–A8).
• Section 609 Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications across brake, hydraulic, exhaust, ignition, electrical, suspension and air conditioning systems.
• Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to customers and staff.
• Mentor and lead technicians to improve customer care and shop performance.
• Stay current with automotive technology through formal training.
