Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; a law degree is a plus.
• Seven+ years handling complex litigated Auto and General Liability matters.

Responsibilities

• Conduct investigations and evaluating information learned.
• Make coverage determinations and communicate written positions to insureds and required parties.
• Within prescribed authority levels, set reserves and monitor for adjustments.
• Present cases to management for reserve authority above established levels.
• Develop and implement resolution strategies to achieve high-quality outcomes.
• Proactively manage litigation and counsel, including planning and budgeting.
• Attending trials and mediations as necessary.
• Contributing to claim and enterprise goals through audits and projects.
• Preparing reports and presenting to senior claim leadership on case developments.
• Providing support to field offices for coverage and liability analyses and complexity issues.
• Collaborating with business partners to address claim trends.
• Address inquiries from agents and policyholders with superior service.
