Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking an Auto Body Technician in Minnesota. The role revolves around meticulous assessment, repair of vehicles to pre-accident condition, and achieving our WOW standards in speed, quality and customer excellence.

The successful candidate will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles, use a range of tools, and collaborate with team members to meet KPIs while upholding the brand promise.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program or 3-year apprenticeship required.
• Ability to read job orders and work with very little supervision.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Plan repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers.
• Repair vehicle sections using cutting guns, plasma cutters, hammers and pliers.
• Hammer out dents and apply filler resins as needed.
• Realign chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts.
• Weld and attach parts; repaint vehicles to factory specs.
• Ensure work orders are completed within labor time guidelines and inspect vehicles after repair.
