Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking an Auto Body Technician for the Lubbock, TX location. You will assess and repair vehicles to pre-accident condition, disassemble, repair, and reassemble with a focus on speed, quality, and customer excellence.

The role requires 4-5 years of collision auto body repair experience, a high school diploma (or equivalent), and either a technical school program or a 3-year apprenticeship. Benefits include health insurance and retirement options.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a technical school program or a 3-year apprenticeship in auto body repair.

Responsibilities

• Ensure WOW plan execution.
• Plan repairs and prepare cost estimates for customers.
• Use cutting tools, plasma cutters, jacks, hammers and pliers to repair vehicle sections.
• Realign chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts and repair/replace glass.
• Weld and fit parts; repaint vehicles to factory specs or equivalent.
• Complete work orders within labor guidelines and inspect repairs.
