Job summary

Bitwarden is seeking a Senior II Software Engineer on the Auth team to develop and maintain core authentication systems across web, desktop, browser extension, CLI, and mobile clients. You will work with Angular clients, Rust core, IdentityServer and API back-end to support password, SSO, WebAuthn, and 2FA.

The ideal candidate has strong Rust and Angular skills, excellent communication and technical writing, and a collaborative mindset.

Qualifications

• Experience with Angular/.NET is a strong plus.
• Familiarity with integrating Rust into other clients using WASM and UNIFFI bindings.
• Understanding of modern web authentication concepts (OAuth 2.0, OIDC, WebAuthn).
• Strong technical writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain authentication code in Rust core library, Angular clients, and IdentityServer back-end.
• Collaborate across teams to design, document, and communicate future solutions.
• Provide thorough code reviews and contribute to problem-solving discussions.
• Triage, diagnose, and fix bugs reported by users and community.
• Update core dependencies to ensure secure and stable supply chain.
