Job summary

Bitwarden is seeking an experienced engineer for an all-remote role in the United States to strengthen our authentication stack across Rust core, Angular interfaces, and IdentityServer back-end.

The ideal candidate has hands-on Rust integration with WASM/UNIFFI, deep knowledge of OAuth/OIDC/WebAuthn, and a passion for open source security. Strong technical writing and collaborative problem solving are essential.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with integrating Rust into other clients using WASM and UNIFFI bindings.
• Understanding of modern web authentication concepts (OAuth 2.0, OIDC, WebAuthn).
• Experience with Claude/LLMs or openness to learn this technology.
• Strong technical writing and ability to communicate complex problems clearly.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain authentication code in the Rust core, Angular clients, and IdentityServer backend.
• Scope and refine upcoming initiatives, collaborating across teams to design and document solutions.
• Provide timely, thorough code reviews and contribute to team discussions.
