Job summary

Novogradac seeks a Senior Accountant to manage audit and attest engagements, mentoring staff, and strengthening client relationships within the firm’s Tax/Audit practice. You will spend most time on audit engagements, developing audit-specific expertise and ensuring quality service.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s in accounting or finance with 2–3 years in public accounting and CPA eligibility; strong Excel and reporting skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; advanced degree a plus.
• 2–3 years of experience in public accounting; CPA eligibility is a plus.
• Strong understanding of accounting and auditing rules.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete audit and attest projects for designated clients with minimal oversight.
• Conduct engagement reviews and manage engagement teams.
• Identify risk areas and propose solutions during audits.
• Research business issues, analyze data, and prepare reports with recommendations.
• Develop client relationships with professionalism and responsiveness.
• Mentor and supervise Staff Accountants; support CPA licensure progress.
