Novogradac in New York is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage audit and attest engagements with minimal supervision. The role emphasizes supervising staff, problem solving, client relations, and enhancing profitability.

You will support audit-focused work within the Firm’s Tax/Audit practice, develop technical expertise, and work toward a CPA license while handling diverse engagements and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required, CPA exam status a plus.
• Strong understanding of accounting and auditing rules.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrate intellectual curiosity and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to sit for CPA exam or complete sections.

Responsibilities

• Complete audit and attest projects for designated clients with minimal oversight.
• Conduct engagement reviews and supervise staff accountants.
• Develop client relationships through professional and responsive service.
• Research business issues, analyze data, and prepare reports with recommendations.
