Novogradac & Company LLP is seeking a Senior Accountant to lead audit and attest engagements, mentoring Staff and expanding technical expertise in audit. The role emphasizes independent problem solving, client relationship development, and driving profitability for the team.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s in accounting/finance with 2–3 years in public accounting and may be pursuing the CPA. Strong communication skills and detail orientation are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA exam progress a plus.
• Strong understanding of accounting and auditing rules.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in work.

Responsibilities

• Complete audit and/or attest projects for designated clients with minimal oversight.
• Conduct engagement reviews.
• Accept increasing responsibility for engagement management.
• Identify potential problems and propose effective solutions.
• Conduct data gathering, analysis, and reporting; present recommendations.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships through professionalism.
• Support continuous training and skill development in audit focus areas.
• Mentor Staff Accountants and guide teamwork.
• Aim to obtain CPA license if not yet held.
• Handle other duties as assigned.
