Job summary

Novogradac is a national CPA and consulting firm seeking a Manager to lead audit engagements and tax/audit projects. You will supervise staff, mentor teams, strengthen client relationships, and contribute to firm profitability while advancing audit-specific technical expertise.

The role emphasizes planning, staffing, and timely delivery across engagements, with opportunities to pursue new clients and participate in firm initiatives. Remote/hybrid options are available, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA license preferred.
• 5–8 years of experience in public accounting.
• Strong understanding of accounting and auditing rules.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Lead client engagements from planning to staffing and timing with minimal oversight.
• Conduct thorough engagement reviews and resolve technical issues.
• Mentor Supervisors, Senior Accountants and Staff; support professional development.
• Perform annual performance evaluations and manage employee performance conversations.
• Assist Principals and Partners with identifying and pursuing new clients.
• Turn acquired technical knowledge into high value-added opportunities for clients.
• Promote the Firm’s image through panels, publications and recruiting events.
• Develop and strengthen client relationships and enhance office profitability.
