Job summary

Withum is seeking a Senior Auditor to lead audit engagements from planning through completion in a Houston, TX office. You will supervise staff, mentor junior teammates, and coordinate with clients to ensure high-quality service.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Accounting, CPA or progress toward CPA, and 2+ years of public accounting with strong US GAAP knowledge. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required.
• Licensed CPA, or working toward CPA certification.
• 2+ years public accounting experience leading engagements.
• Strong analytical, technical and auditing skills with US GAAP knowledge.
• Excellent client service and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engagement team in planning and execution of audits, reviews, or compilations with client service focus.
• Oversee day-to-day operations from staffing to financial reporting and conclusion.
• Provide supervision and promote open communication with staff and managers.
• Collaborate with managers/partners on issue resolutions and recommendations.
• Review schedules and general ledger entries for accuracy.
• Manage multiple engagements across teams to meet deadlines.
• Create and track engagement budgets for efficiency.
• Contribute to staff development as instructor or discussion leader.
• Travel as required for engagements.
