Job summary

Novogradac & Company LLP is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our growing team in the United States. The role involves managing tax, audit and related assignments with minimal supervision while mentoring Staff Accountants and strengthening client relationships.

You should have a bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance with 3–5 years in public accounting and be working toward CPA licensure (CPA license a plus). Strong communication and analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; 3–5 years in public accounting, CPA exam in progress or CPA license a plus.
• Strong understanding of accounting and tax rules.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to sit for CPA exam or has passed sections; CPA license is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete tax and/or audit projects for designated clients with minimal oversight by Managers.
• Conduct engagement reviews and manage engagement deliverables.
• Supervise Staff Accountants and mentor junior team members.
• Develop and maintain client relationships with professionalism and responsiveness.
• Research and analyze data, compile reports and make recommendations.
• Seek relevant training to strengthen industry knowledge and increase team profitability.
• Support time management and contribute ideas to improve efficiency.
• Assist with other duties and projects as assigned.
• Work toward CPA licensure if not yet obtained.
