Novogradac & Company LLP is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage tax and related assignments with minimal supervision while mentoring Staff Accountants. The role emphasizes client relationships, problem solving, and profitability for the firm.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in accounting/finance with 1–3 years public accounting experience, strong accounting and tax knowledge, and excellent communication. CPA status is a plus; remote/hybrid options may be discussed with recruiters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA eligibility preferred.
• 1-3 years public accounting experience or equivalent balance of education/experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting and tax rules.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete tax projects for designated clients with minimal oversight.
• Conduct engagement reviews.
• Accept increasing responsibility for engagement management.
• Identify potential issues and propose solutions.
• Perform data gathering, analysis, and reporting to support recommendations.
• Build and maintain client relationships with professionalism and responsiveness.
• Seek ongoing training to strengthen industry focus and expertise.
• Help improve team profitability through efficient time management and mentoringStaff.
• Supervise Staff Accountants and provide guidance.
• Handle additional duties as assigned.
• Pursue CPA license if not yet obtained.
