Job summary

MBE CPAs is seeking an In-Charge Audit professional to lead and perform audit engagements while mentoring junior staff. You will analyze client records, plan procedures, and ensure timely completion with high quality.

The role emphasizes building client relationships and working closely with Managers and Partners. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in public accounting audits, experience supervising staff, and a CPA certification is highly desired or attainable.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of audit experience at a public accounting firm.
• Experience supervising, reviewing, or guiding staff during audits.
• CPA certification highly desired or ability to attain.
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.

Responsibilities

• Performing and leading audit engagements while guiding junior team members.
• Analyzing client financial records to identify accounting issues and proposing solutions.
• Planning and executing audit procedures per standards.
• Owning assigned engagements, coordinating workflow, and meeting schedules.
• Supervising, training, and mentoring staff accountants and associates.
• Reviewing work and giving constructive feedback.
• Building and strengthening client relationships and understanding client businesses.
• Communicating with clients to request information and discuss findings.
• Collaborating with Audit Managers and Partners to complete engagements.
