Job summary

CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen) is hiring an Audit & Assurance Director or Manager to join the Northeast Region. This in-office role can be based out of one of our Pittsburgh or Connecticut locations — Pittsburgh, PA, Shelton, CT, or West Hartford, CT.

You will plan and supervise nonprofit and other engagements, lead teams, manage client relationships, and ensure high-quality audits. A CPA license and 6+ years of public accounting experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of public accounting experience with emphasis in financial statement preparation and audits.
• CPA license required.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a team and manage client engagements.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and control all phases of nonprofit and other engagements as delegated by Principals.
• Lead engagement planning, staffing, and execution to deliver value to clients.
• Direct engagement progress and decisions with the Engagement Principal and client.
• Develop and mentor staff, provide coaching and performance feedback.
• Prepare engagement letters, discuss scope and fees, and secure client sign-off.
• Monitor time budgets and deadlines; communicate key developments to the Engagement Principal.
• Manage client relationships and lead final client meetings.
