Job summary

CliftonLarsonAllen (CLA) Northeast's Nonprofit team is seeking an Audit & Assurance Senior to join our in-office roles in West Hartford, CT or other listed locations. You will lead nonprofit audit engagements from planning through reporting, coordinating staff, and ensuring quality and compliance.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, 2+ years in public accounting with financial statement audits, and CPA eligibility is preferred. Some travel to client sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required.
• Two or more years of public accounting experience with emphasis in financial statement preparation, audits, reviews, and compilations.
• Current CPA or eligibility to sit for the CPA exam preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute and manage day-to-day activities of audit engagements for nonprofit clients from start to finish, including budgeting, planning, fieldwork and financial statement preparation.
• Review client accounting and operating procedures.
• Develop and assess the design and implementation of internal controls.
• Prepare financial statements and related disclosures and reportable condition correspondence letters.
• Communicate technical matters effectively with staff, management, and clients.
