Job summary

Salas O’Brien is seeking an experienced Audio Consultant to plan, design, and implement professional audio and audiovisual systems across venues such as performing arts spaces, sports facilities, higher education, and corporate campuses.

The role combines consulting, engineering, and hands-on audio experience, including loudspeaker deployment, DSP workflows, and audio networking. Hybrid work model with travel as needed for project work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in audio system design/consulting.
• 4–8 years in professional audio, audiovisual consulting, or related fields.
• Experience designing, operating, installing, or commissioning professional audio systems.

Responsibilities

• Design professional audio and audiovisual systems for new construction and renovation projects.
• Meet with clients and stakeholders to understand requirements and performance objectives.
• Develop system concepts, specifications, drawings, and construction documentation.
• Coordinate with architectural, electrical, telecommunications, and structural teams.
• Assist with system testing, tuning, and validation to verify design performance.
