Job summary

NV5, Inc. is seeking an experienced Audiovisual Design Consultant to lead design efforts for technology-enriched spaces from our Pittsburgh office. You will participate actively in multiple projects, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and top-quality work while coordinating with CAD/BIM staff and project teams.

Occasional client-site travel is expected, with three to four days in the office and flexible hours. The ideal candidate has extensive audiovisual design experience, strong communication

Qualifications

• Ten years minimum in the design and implementation of audiovisual systems, with independent consulting firm experience a strong plus.
• Extensive knowledge in projection, displays, sound reinforcement, streaming, conferencing, and DSP/control systems.
• IT services, network infrastructure, and digital media delivery knowledge.
• CTS-D/CTS-I/EST-L2 or CCNA are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Contribute as a key member of the project design team with expertise in audiovisual systems.
• Engage in programmatic discussions with clients to determine goals and requirements.
• Develop audiovisual system recommendations and cost estimates.
• Produce high-quality construction drawings and specifications with CAD/BIM tools.
• Review shop drawings and coordinate with architects, contractors, and engineers.
• Perform site visits to ensure adherence to standards and practices.
• Provide final punchlist visits and follow-up reports.
• Support business development activities when required.
