Job summary

The Federal Transit Administration is seeking a Supervisory Attorney Advisor to lead the Office of Chief Counsel for Litigation and Regional Operations. You will supervise Regional Counsels and shape legal guidance on grant administration, contracts, environmental law, and related regulatory matters.

The role requires a law degree, bar in good standing, and substantial federal litigation and government compliance experience.

Qualifications

• J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school and bar membership in good standing.
• Experience in government contracts, environmental, and regulatory practice is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise attorneys and manage complex litigation.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise Regional Counsels across ten regional offices.
• Provide legal advice on grant administration, contracts, and environmental matters.
• Represent agency in complex federal litigation and coordinate with DoJ and DOT leadership.
• Serve as primary contact for OIG on criminal matters and oversee compliance initiatives.
