Job summary

PerkinElmer is seeking a Senior Atomic Spectroscopy Support Specialist to provide remote technical expertise across North America, resolving complex hardware, software, and methodology issues. You will triage and diagnose remotely, guide customers to quick resolutions, and coordinate with field engineers to enable first-time fixes.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration with TAC, training teams, and service operations to maximize uptime and deliver high-quality support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Biology, Chemistry, Electronics, or related discipline.
• 5+ years expert level experience with Atomic Spectroscopy Instrumentation on a repair level.
• 5+ years of experience in a support, service, or analytical lab environment using atomic spectroscopy instrumentation.
• Experience with AA, ICP-OES, ICP-MS in at least two of these technologies.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary technical contact for incoming inquiries via phone and email for PerkinElmer Atomic Spectroscopy products.
• Perform detailed remote diagnostics of complex equipment and software systems.
• Drive issue resolution toward remote fixes when possible or well-prepared service events when needed.
• If field service is required, determine root cause, recommend actions, and document a plan of action.
• Mentor colleagues by sharing product updates, notices, and best practices with global teams.
