Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Cedar Rapids, IA, is seeking a skilled engineer to develop and maintain Automated Test Equipment (ATE) software for a factory environment. You will design test fixtures, review PCB and mechanical designs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver hardware and software solutions.

The role requires experience with C/C++, LabVIEW, and TestStand, plus the ability to interface test software with instrumentation.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain US DoD Security Clearance.
• STEM degree with 5+ years of experience or an Advanced Degree with 3+ years of experience.
• Experience developing and maintaining ATE test hardware and software for a factory/production environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain ATE software for factory/production environments.
• Develop and maintain ATE test fixtures through circuit and cable design and fixture top-level design.
• Support cradle to grave efforts including requirements, design, integration, validation and maintenance of test hardware and software.
• Design high quality solutions that meet cost and schedule targets.
• Ensure designs meet DFM/DFS standards (Design for Manufacturability/Serviceability).
• Troubleshoot software and hardware as part of an integration team.
• Communicate with global engineering, operations, service and program leadership.
