Job summary

Forvis Mazars, LLP is seeking an experienced audit professional to lead planning and execution of audit engagements in Houston. You will ensure compliance with GAAP, coordinate fieldwork, and deliver high-quality reports to clients.

The role requires 7+ years of audit experience and an active CPA license, with travel as needed. Master’s degree is preferred and CaseWare experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• 7+ years of audit experience.
• CPA license and active status are required.

Responsibilities

• Manage planning and execution of audit engagements with fieldwork coordination.
• Apply GAAP knowledge to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
• Conduct in-depth accounting and audit research and communicate findings clearly in reports.
• Review audit workpapers for accuracy, completeness, and defensible support.
• Lead presentations for audit committees and board meetings.
• Drive client service excellence and foster long-term relationships.
• Support client growth and retention through strategic planning.
• Mentor and manage assurance professionals and provide feedback.
• Manage resources, budgets, and project workflows to ensure timely delivery.
• Maintain technical expertise through Continuing Professional Education (CPE).
• Represent the firm at industry events and networking forums.
