Job summary

PharmaEssentia Corporation is seeking a Senior Associate Scientist to advance mRNA-based CAR T cell engineering and characterization within the Cell Therapy team. You will isolate immune cells, culture, engineer CAR T cells via mRNA electroporation, and perform functional assays to support discovery projects.

You will generate data to guide project decisions, interpret results, and design experiments, while collaborating across multi-disciplinary groups in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Senior Associate Scientist: BS/MS in immunology/biology/oncology with 6+ yrs (BS) or 4+ yrs (MS) industry experience
• Strong hands-on experience with primary human immune cells and cancer cell lines
• T cell transfection via mRNA electroporation and immunophenotyping by multicolor flow cytometry
• Cytotoxicity assays, multiplex ELISA, live-cell analysis (incucyte)
• Proficiency with data analysis software such as FlowJo and GraphPad Prism
• Willingness to learn new methods and strong documentation habits
• Excellent organization and team-oriented mindset

Responsibilities

• Perform primary immune cell isolation and culture and cancer cell line culture
• Perform mRNA-based CAR T cell engineering using electroporation and tLNP
• Lead functional characterization of CAR T cells with immunoassays
• Data analysis and documentation in ELN system
• Present results at team meetings and conferences
• Collaborate with internal multi-disciplinary project teams
• Maintain a safe BSL2/BSL2+ laboratory environment
