Job summary

A leading staffing company is seeking a Scientist specializing in T-cell immunology and CAR T-cell generation. The candidate will engage in innovative research methodologies and contribute significantly to the development of therapeutic applications. This role requires expertise in laboratory techniques and a strong background in cellular biology.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience or 3+ years for MS in an academic and/or industrial setting.
  • Experience in Biochemical techniques is essential.
  • Experience in Cell/Tissue Culture techniques is required.

Responsibilities

  • Establish methodologies for culturing and activating T-cells.
  • Generate CAR T-cells for therapeutic uses based on state of the art constructs.

Skills

Knowledge and hands-on experience in generating and optimizing human CAR T-cells
Knowledge and experience of modern laboratory methodology in cellular and molecular T-cell immunology
Knowledge and experience with viral based systems (lenti-virus, adenovirus, or murine retrovirus)
Knowledge and experience in genome engineering (zinc fingers, TALEN, or CRISPR)
Excellent written and oral communication skills

Job Description

• The scientist will be involved in establishing methodologies, i.e. culturing and activating primary T-cells, enriching T-cell populations, viral transductions and electroporation of primary cells, to generate CAR T-cells.

• They will also be responsible for CAR T-cells based on current state of the art and novel constructs in vitro and in vivo to identify optimal constructs and characteristics for therapeutic uses

Qualifications

• BS and 5+ years of experience or MS and 3+ years of experience in an academic and/or industrial setting.

• Knowledge and hands-on experience in generating and optimizing human CAR T-cells is required.

• Knowledge and experience of modern laboratory methodology in cellular and molecular T-cell immunology.

• Knowledge and experience with viral based systems (lenti-virus, adenovirus, or murine retrovirus) to optimize transduction of cell-lines and primary cells.

• Knowledge and experience in genome engineering (zinc fingers, TALEN, or CRISPR) is preferred.

• Excellent written, oral communication skills.

• 4-7 years of experience in Biochemical techniques.

• 4-7 years of experience in Cell/Tissue Culture techniques.
