Job summary

Dispatch Bio is seeking an Associate Scientist/Scientist I to support analytical method development for therapeutic viruses, viral vectors, and autologous CAR T cells. You will contribute to experimental design, perform routine testing, and document data for cross-functional teams.

Reporting to the Senior Scientist I in Analytical & Product Sciences, you will gain autonomy in method development and troubleshooting while advancing your career in a collaborative, regulated biotech environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of laboratory experience in biology or related field.
• Foundational knowledge of cell biology/immunology techniques.
• Working knowledge of viral vectors, virology, and cell/gene therapies.
• Proficiency in mammalian cell culture with aseptic technique.
• Ability to execute experiments accurately and document data.
• Strong attention to detail and collaboration skills.
• Willingness to learn new techniques and follow SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and qualify new analytical methods under senior guidance.
• Demonstrate competency in experimental design with increasing independence.
• Perform routine testing (flow cytometry, imaging, cell-based assays) for CAR T and viral products.
• Provide analytical support to cross-functional teams and external partners.
• Record data in ELN and maintain organized documentation; troubleshoot as needed.
• Assist with method transfer activities and communicate results clearly.
